Why?
There is already Google, Yahoo, etc, so Why do this? Fair question. The answer is simple. We wanted a paintball centered search engine.
When we refer to certain paintball guns, we don't use the term paintball every time. For us, it is a given. But to search online, you'll type "Paintball Buzzard", to find
the Earon Carter Buzzard pump gun, instead of the bird. But what about all those times we might just say "Buzzard"? This search engine is taylored to
obtain the results you and I are needing to find, without scrolling through 20 pages before finding it.
How to Use
This is just like every other search engine you have used. Type in your search terms, and away you go. The main page is a simple search using the boolean method.
This should give you the best results.
Is This a Real Search Engine?
Why yes it is! These are taylored results from Google. We also use our own web crawling bot to search out specific paintball only related sites.
If you own one of these sites you can see our bot on one of its visits: PaintBallHound
I'm a Web Site Owner, and I don't want your bot on my site
No problem. Use your robots.txt file to keep this bot from crawling your site. PaintBallHound follows all the robots.txt rules.
The correct method would be:
# Robots.txt
# Disallow PaintBallHound Bot
User-agent: PaintBallHound
Disallow: /
I'm a Web Site Owner, and I WANT your bot to be searching my site!
No problem. We're always adding more and more paintball related sites to our search. If we've overlooked you, please use our Add URL To Site section.
Do you offer a Categorized Search?
Sort of. Our categories are currently in their early stages, just like our search engine. You may find them at the following link
Paintball Categories - Findings Sorted and Categorized
You may find these helpful, and you may not. The page will mostly likely be going through some major changes in the future, so expect some downtime or errors while we continue to work on them.
How do I add the pbhound search to my webpage?
Copy and paste the code below and insert it into your webpage:
<!-- Google CSE Search Box Begins -->
<form id="searchbox_002027467430320755531:ualejebkmok" action="http://www.google.com/search">

<input type="submit" name="sa" value="Search" />
</form>
